The MTC (Mission Training Center)
is where missionaries spend several weeks learning the gospel lessons they will be teaching - along with the culture and language (if necessary) of their mission.

Brandon entered the MTC in Provo, Utah
on June 2, 1999 and will leave for Tokyo, Japan on August 3, 1999.

Here, Brandon points to his mission

Excerpts from Brandon's letter, June 10, 1999

I'm having a great time still. I have been appointed District Leader over the District - they're an incredible district! I love them all so much!

Japanese is coming well. We all know how to "get acquainted", bear testimony (kind of), and pray - among other things like basic sentences and reading hirigana. You did get my first letter, didn't you? Time is so precious and packed here! It's impossible to find time to write letters. I have to do it during lunch, etc. (that's why it takes me many days to write it).
